Wiki of a Madman
This website is a work in progress.
Come back in a little while and maybe you will see something coming to fruition
Log:
02/05/22
- Achnowledging that I still need to complete the list below
- Added tantatively placed 'personal links' section for recording information networks
24/04/22
- Installed Homebrew and Emacs in Terminal
- Figured out that I am using the zsh shell, but many of the documentation I find is for bash
- Gathered some good resources together on the site
- Updated Ecto-Zone with Travel Log
- Getting to memorize some commands for ordering my vm
- Need to figure out if I should switch from zsh to bash
Need to figure out how to add custom font to css file
- Once that's figured out I will need to add css file to vm
- Need to add detailed breakdown of what I've installed on my vm to my personal notes
- Need to add common commands for vm to my personal notes
- Need to add file pathways I've made on my vm into my personal notes
- Need to just make all around detailed account of operation my vm to personal notes
I should do this sooner rather than later.
In lieu of a wiki (at least while it is largely a work in progress), here are a number of links I find myself returning to regularly in its creation:
https://landchad.net/
- Useful information on getting started with/maintaining a virtual server and connecting it to your domain
http://inamidst.com
- Collection of articles on various subjects (many unrelated to the making of this wiki
- Some articles about automating markdown to html conversion using Emacs (related)
https://links.yesterweb.org
- A bountiful resource centre (you'll notice LandChad is on there)
- I haven't looked through them all, but I'm sure I will continue to
Adding Custom Fonts to a Website
- As the title suggests, adding custom fonts to a website
Ecto-Zone
- My other project which continuously inspires me
Commonplace Book Wikipedia
- This is uh what a majority of the website will be
Items to look into for wiki:
- Simple search engine (no javascript)
- Ordering/tagging schema
- Automate Mark Down to HTML conversion by my specifications
- How to back-up server
- EMACS
